Empowering emerging black and brown artists who should’ve been in the room.

Who we are

At Unabridged Media, we believe in the transformative power of art and the importance of curating nurturing spaces for our fellow BIPOC emerging artists. Our artist collective, The Artist Incubator, is the safe space we've created to do just that.

The Artist Incubator is an artist hub that centers the voices and stories of local emerging BIPOC artists. We cultivate an inclusive and supportive environment that embraces curiosity, sparks meaningful conversations, and celebrates cultural diversity.

Join us in crafting pathways for creativity and dialogue that enrich the fabric of our community.

We cultivate an inclusive and empowering environment that:

  • Embraces curiosity and forward thinking

  • Sparks meaningful conversations

  • Centers and celebrates cultural and artistic diversity

This year, our goal is to:

  • Facilitate cross-cultural dialogues online and in person.

  • Build an engaged community through inclusive programming and collaborative projects.

  • Curate art activations that empower our local artists and showcase the diverse voices and perspectives that define our community.

Upcoming

workshops

Four-part monthly workshop series designed to provide essential skills, foster creativity, and build a supportive community among artists. Each workshop offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage, learn, and grow within their artistic practices.

  • The Artist Incubator is for anyone who has ever had a passion for creating art and is now thinking about growing their craft beyond just making work. It's designed for emerging artists who want to develop their soft skills, seek out new opportunities, access valuable resources, and be in community with like-minded creators.

  • No, at this time, there is no fee to participate. However, we do require registration to ensure we can accommodate everyone and create a welcoming environment for all attendees.

  • While the focus of the Artist Incubator is on amplifying the voices of BIPOC artists, our workshops are open to all artists who are interested in being part of an inclusive community that centers and uplifts underrepresented voices.

  • The workshops will be held in-person at our studio in Worcester, MA.

However, we’ll also offer recordings of the featured talks through our Patreon community for those who can't attend in person or want to revisit the sessions. Learn more

  • Each workshop runs for three hours and includes a mix of icebreakers, a featured speaker, and group discussions. After the main session, there’s a social hour to network and connect, followed by a maker hour where artists are invited to bring something to work on while continuing the conversation.
